Saw a video the other day that i thought was pretty cool. Apparently the guy is a "big deal" in Elite, but i hadn't heard of him. He's one of the first guys to fly Flight Assist Off exclusively. I thought it was so cool how his ship moves around. Anyway, here it is... it's a long one, no need to watch the whole thing:

He also happens to play in "iron man" mode, which means no ship rebuys when you die. Might add some excitement to the game. I'm intrigued at the thought of being excited about the small ships again.

Anyway, i was thinking that it could be fun to have another Vulture Night but this time with FA off and fixed weapons only. Yeah?

fyi, if you want to learn FA off, probably not the best ship to learn with.

you want a bigger, less nimble ship. like a gunship or dropship

FA off flying is on my list of things to do....but most of the users doing it use KB+mouse

i need to fine tune my sensitivity settings for the joystick first

Hehe. I'll log on tonight perhaps? I was on once in the past few weeks and I didn't enjoy myself much. Getting bored.
