First contact with aliens in elite dangerous.

Two guys made contact today. Spaz and i didn't see any ETs this evening.

The Thargoids are aliens, are they not in Elite Dangerous??

I have a pirated version of the game but can't find a product key for it. But I'm sure one will surface sometime!!

Used to play in on the C64, wonderful game.

I had already went to Youtube and seen a better video then they had on the website that you had posted which showed that it was indeed the Thargoids.

I was just a little confused as the video they had didn't have any reference to the fact it was Thargoids, just saying Aliens.

Watched a couple of them of another guy seeing then too.

Someone posted a "lore article" on Reddit suggesting that these ships belong to a peaceful "strain" of thargoid that will protect us when the war starts. The latest update was called "the defenders", which seems consistent. The thargoids are apparently ruthless and would never just scan a ship and leave.

Well I can say in the early versions of Elite they were ruthless.

I had a ship strong enough to destroy them, even if there were 5 or 6 in the immediate area. But if there were 10 or more around, almost impossible. I used to go hunting for them as the debris from their ships was the best paying cargo you could find. As a matter of fact it was called something to the likes of Alien Artifacts.

Damn I miss that game.

I was surprised also that they scanned the ship and left? I started thinking, is that a baby Thargoid that doesn't know any better...LOL

Read about it last night. It's a scripted encounter, so if you run into one, you will probably have the same situation. My guess is, after a while, they will start attacking. Looks like some serious firepower is need for such an encounter. I'm not prepared to deal with them at this point.

also, for a beginner, making money can be easier be trading rares, or just trade in general. in that case, you will want something with cargo space.
