Welcome to the 420th!

Things are a little slow around here, but I'm usually up for a flight. I'm in the US Central Time Zone. Usually available 8 or 9PM 'till ???? M-F and weekends are kinda day to day, but sometimes I'm too busy on the weekend.

If you want to fly sometime, post up when you are available here -

viewforum.php?f=15

Also, let us know what your skill level is. Just a short rundown, so we know what you can and can't do (yet) and specify what you are most comfortable with at the moment.

Thanks!

Honestly dude, all of your points are why we started up the 420th. I'd like to think that we're decent pilots and can generally get shit done in-game, but we have commitment issues, substance abuse issues, personality issues and generally low IQs, which preclude us from most "real" vFWs. :)

As schnidrman said, we're slow right now. He's still actively flying but the rest of us are generally AWOL these days. I've been taking a break and focusing on family/work, other guys decided they wanted girlfriends and some sleep, another guy's stick exploded (imploded?)... life happened.

I'd like to start catching some flights again... just need a little inspiration/motivation.

That's not what happened, I yanked it too hard one night and stretched it too far to one side, now it won't go back to its original position, which can make sitting through long flights uncomfortable.

HAHAHA, here is the PM I sent to him at BMS:

FreqiMANN,

Well at the 420th FW we are extremely laid back. People come and go as they see fit. We have about 4-6 guys who fly most weeks, usually the weekends, but they may take a flight anytime there's at least 3 or 4 around and they aren't playing ARMA or DCS.

A few of them or pretty structured in the pit, a few are so, so and a few don't follow any structure but are good fliers non the less. We brief as we set up the mission and maybe a few minutes more to decide on targets, usually no more than 10-15mins, a lot of the times, quicker than that.

There is absolutely no training regiment, unless a new person joins and wants one of our guys to teach/train them in whatever they are lacking at.

We fly for fun, we drink while were flying, we joke and we laugh a lot. The majority of us, about 5 have been together for 4-5 yrs, and a few of us have know each other going on 9-10yrs.

There are guys from the US, UK, Belgium, and Finland. I'm located on the West Coast, US, CA.

Who knows, we may be to lax for you!!

But if you are interested in checking out our Web site and TS, let me know. We are listed in the VFW list on the BMS boards or you can PM me for info.

Brian

Also Harley, I'm surprised you forgot to mention one dude doesn't have a mic at this time..... :bang:

At any rate, Welcome aboard FreqiMANN. I'm sure someone will get a flight up and running....sometime!!!

Brian

very cool. seems like a lot of fun. i work at a school and its summer break, so i can do something pretty much any time. after that, weekends are fine, weeknights might work if it isn't anything overboard.
