Hey Crazy,

That is indeed the one I have.

Same goes for DCS, Rift seems to be far better for it than the Vive. It's also lighter than the Vive, which I at first thought wouldn't matter, but even the rift can get a bit heavy after long use. I do have my own headset on top of it though.
Setting the straps up properly also is very important. Not sure if I've found the sweet spot there yet.

Br,

Mud

Bumped my cpu up to 4.6ghz today and it's running stable so far. I'd like to OC my gpu as well but it's a shame you need Msi afterburner for that. I assume that needs to run in the background or as a process to keep the set overclock.

Am i correct in assuming that you can't use the keyboard at all with the VR headset on? Or is there some sort of "blanking" that it does so you can use the keyboard when necessary. Still need the keyboard once in a while in E:D...

Does this thing work with BMS too?

BYE-BYE FAMILY!!

You have a small gap left and right of your nose, which allows you to see a bit around (while doing gymnastics with your head). But it still allows you to pick up things and whatnot, and yes, also see your keyboard kind of. I don't need mine in DCS apart from the comms, which is done by the F-keys so I just go on touch there.

I think some people have got it working with BMS, but I'm not too keen myself on installing extra software to get something like that up and running.

I doubt I'll ever be flying BMS again solo, and just boot it up for "social flights" with you guys.

Main drawbacks of the rift after almost a week now:
- Comfort and warmth after extended periods.
- Glare at certain light conditions (the god rays they talk about on the net I think)
- Resolution (which I barely notice when in the air).

I managed to do a full AA refuel in the A-10C both yesterday and today. I had not practiced this in ages and I was very surprised that I was able to pull it off. Now I'm not sure if this is due to the rift, or due to my silk hands from flying the WWII birds.

Can't wait to try out the Viggen on Friday!

Just because I'm trying to squeeze out everything out of this lemon. Don't think it makes a difference for the VR aspect, but more for DCS in itself. I'm leaving quite some eye candy on and sitting at a solid 45fps most of the time, and sometimes 90. Just water and view distance I have turned down at the moment.

Saw my GPU reached 99% and CPU around 90% in the last flight I have done.

Question about ED: Do you guys play on an open server, or your own? Or just single player and multi when with buddies like we do BMS?
