UPDATE: LOL

Surgery completed Friday evening.

I now contain, one rod from my knee to my ankle, 1 plate on the inside of my ankle and 5 screws to hold it all together!!!

5 incisions. The incisions on the inside of my ankle is about 9inches long and run up along my inner ankle to the front of my leg, that's where the plate was installed. 2 incisions on the outside my ankle, about 2inches long where 3 pins(screws) were installed, and two incisions, one on my knee cap about 3inches long where the rod was inserted and the last one where the two pins were attached to the rod.

Doctor was REALLY nice about drugs. Gave me 3 prescriptions of narcotics, Percosets(70 per perscription, that work real nice. Anti-biotics, and prescribed Hyper-tension(high blood pressure) pills.

Stayed the night Friday and they pumped me up with Morphine about every two hours!!! Then when I got discharged, the nurse gave me 2 Percosets and a double does of Morphine!! I was forked up for a few hours.

Went back to the Doc yesterday for a follow-up and redress of the bandage/splint and it was surreal seeing the X-ray with all that hardware in my leg, haha.

Doing okay pain wise and no signs of infection at this point.

Now, back you your regularly scheduled appointment.

BTW, that's kinda goin' the extra mile to score some narcotics isn't it?

Haha! Have a nice recovery and don't skimp on the antibodies...last thing you want is an infection around all your new metal parts.

Had a checkup and got the 60 some stitches taken out. And got pics of the X-ray of my lower leg.

Doctor had me out of work until July 22. After this appointment, he put me out until the end of Nov!!! WTH.

Said it was a very unusual break, that he and the other ortho doctors in my hospital had never seen one like this and he was surprised I've been making such good progress. He told me I dodged a lot of bullets, lol. I guess I feel like Neo now.......
