Yeah, I know you didn't use the .exe. Also you have the legs, which I'm not dealing with at the moment.

Just making sure I can insert it into different Add-On theaters at the moment.

Really I don't care, I don't use many mods and if I do, they usually go by the wayside as I'm constantly changing stuff other than mods and they get lost in the shuffle, but, if you have it installed in Korea, then using my method described above, you should be able to get it into other Add on theaters.

Now to test it in another theater. Battle for Sinai.

That won't be any good, along with Battle for Balkans as they have objects, tanks and the like occupying the crucial textures for the cockpit in the KoreaOBJ folder. So I would have to renumber them, reassign them and apply it all, that's not gonna happen.

I will use my other Add on theaters like Kurile, Kuwait, Aegean Wars, Ikaros, Libya, Somalia and ODS to further check it.

First, gotta get rid of some snow, salt the driveway and get dinner going.

See ya in about 3-4 falcon months, lol

Tested in Add-On Aegean/Aegean Wars and it all works fine.

I was able to get the HUD into Battle for Sinai. The HUD appeared fine but the cockpit textures were messed up. I'll have to investigate to see if I can get it to work better.

So Steve, what theaters do you want this to be in? If you're considering doing them in anything FO puts out for PvP, I'm pretty sure you're gonna be out of luck there.

I've been able to insert it into any Add-On theater out there, besides FO's shit, but I'm still messing around.

Like I said before this is with the .exe and not with the legs mod.

Cool, thanks. I only want it in Korea atm, so i'm good. Yeah, the installer is only going to work in theatres that don't have extra LODS installed that occupy the numbers hardwired by the installer, which all FO theatres do.

If we could just find out how to associate a cockpit with a particular jet then we'd be set. I was going to PM metalhead to see if he could help.

WTF, i'm so pissed. It was right under my nose. From the ckptart file:
Code:
// the LOD models to use.
cockpitmodel 3120;
cockpitmodel2 3121;
cockpitmodel3 3122;
cockpithudmodel 3123;
cockpitcanopymodel 3124;
cockpitrttcanopymodel 6;
cockpitwingsmodel 3109;
cockpitwingsdfmodel 3109;
cockpitmodel_empty 3118;
cockpitcanopymodel_empty 3119;

If i had only kept reading. Now it's "game on". This HUD and these legs are going everywhere!! :)

Well shit, when you posted that about model earlier I couldn't recall, but now that you discovered it, it brought back my memory.

I too had looked in the 3dckpit.dat file and did the same thing you did, didn't scroll down far enough. And the reason I didn't was in FreeFalcon cockpit.dat files the models were at the top of the file. So I figured with the way BMS has changed all sort of stuff, like file structure, that they had moved that somewhere else.

What a bunch of DOUCHES we be!!! :bang:

+1. :D

It's no wonder that is hard to figure out how to do it -- it's so simple that it's assumed to be common knowledge. DUH!!!
