I'm thinking of buying a game.. I'm undecided whether I should buy it from Steam or from a local gamestore..

I've heard some nasty things about Steam and how it can fup your system. I have no personal experience with Steam.

Tyox mentioned he's had no problems with Steam what so ever.

Any thoughts, good or bad?

i use steam all the time. only issue i've had, is that steam auto updates your games, so if you have modded your game, and the publisher releases an update, it overwrites the mod.

however, this can be disabled in the options for that game.

I'll never buy a game in a store again. Never had any issues with steam. I don't cheat... i mean, "mod" my games.
