Hi,

I'm getting tired of AI wingmen and would like to fly multiplayer in Falcon BMS. I know a bit, and I'm willing to learn as much as I can in the sim, but I don't think a lot of structure, with a long training program, with qualification flights would be a good fit. I would rather just learn new things over time. My main priority is to have fun (otherwise why would I do this). This place seems like a good fit.

Welcome.

Give me a rundown of your capabilities and let me know your time zone and when you are available and I'll put up a flight.

Include a list of theaters you have installed as well, please.

Hi,

My time zone is UTC-4.

I have experence with A2A, AMRAAM-120, AIM-9 and guns. I still have not figured out how to use the helmet cued AIM-9X.

A2G I can drop just about anything CCIP. I can use AGM-88 with HAD. I can drop JDAMs, JSOW, and SDB on target steer points. I can strafe using my gun. I can drop laser guided bombs.

I have some experience with mavericks, but I'm probably a little rusty. This isn't my first time playing Falcon BMS, and I have played lots of DCS A-10C, so I known the concepts. Just don't use them very often.

I may be weak in some of the systems, such as different radar modes, or integrating with flight members.

I have no problem landing the F-16, but it's probably not by the numbers. I'm sure with just a little bit of practice I can make it look good.

I know the concepts behind IFR flights, I done a lot of it in X-Plane, but I never done IFR in the F-16. I don't even know how to tune the radios.

I'm not very good at close formation flying and ariel refueling. It's been a few years since I tried ariel refueling. When I did try, I ran out of fuel before the connect. If you guys do this often I will need to practice.

My tactics are probably not very good. But I'm sure I will learn.

I have ramp started the F-16, a few years ago. Have not done it recently.

In addition to the default theatres, I have downloaded and installed Balklands and Isreal.

Ok, sounds good so far. What kind of hardware are you using? HOTAS, MFD's, etc.

Are you available nights, weekends, etc?

I'm in US Central so I'm just an hour behind. Let me know what times work for you.

Hi,

I have Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. No MFDs, I just use my mouse. I have a second dusty, touch screen monitor in my house, I have use that with Helios, but it's not set up right now.

I work weekdays. I'm available most nights and weekends. I'm actually two hours ahead of you. I gave the offset for AST. Since currently we are observing ADT the current offset is UTC-3.

Ahh, yes David, I see this is the right place for you, your qualifications are impeccable.......

Kidding aside, WELCOME to the 420th......You "WILL" regret your, I mean you "WILL NOT" regret your decision to jump off our cliff.........

Bottom line, if you wanna learn from dudes that have their shit together, and have a shit ton load of fun......You've arrived at the right place!!!

Of course at the moment I don't have a mic, and you will hear plenty of jokes and bitching about it from the other active members, so, like me, just blow 'em off!!!!(the ignore "blow 'em off", not the literal one  ).

BTW, I'm on the West coast, NorCal, Tracy, California.

Cheers,

Brian
