Hello and welcome! As crazy mentioned at BMS, you're welcome to stop by for a flight anytime you like. We usually put up small flights throughout the week... feel free to jump in when it suits you. We just started up a fresh Rolling Fire campaign last week.

You can also post times you may be available for flights in the SCHEDULING thread if making plans is easier.

What timezone are you in?

Hello and thanks for the greetings! I'm 41 yrs. old and from Kansas City, Missouri (U.S. Central time zone). Thanks for having me aboard. Have never flown online but have been flying BMS for around 9 months now and am looking to expand on the experience. This seems like a good place to start and I notice quite a few names here from the BMS forums. I'll have to brush up on a few things like Ramp Starting because I haven't done that in a while as it is time consuming and I mostly just skip it in SP. I will probably need some help getting the online thing sorted, but it sounds like that won't be a problem here. I have some projects keeping me busy for the next week and a half but should be able to give it a go after that. Looking forward to it!

Thanks guys, and I'm interested in that short list for ramp starting CrazyJayP. Do you want me to send you my e-mail address? Let me know.

Went out and got a cheap-o headset (Gamecom 307 ???) so I can talk when I fly online. It's really not bad for the 25 bucks or so that I spent on it.

Installed update 7 which I hadn't done yet since I have only flown SP. Downloaded Teamspeak 3...do I need to create an account with them and/or Gametracker .com?

My Data Cartrige has been set up for a while, do you guys use a standard program for your MFD's or can I use my existing set-up? I sure wouldn't turn away any useful suggestions for countermeasures as I have one program I use and while effective, it is quite a wasteful program I'll admit.

Will try to get the ports set up on my PC sometime this week. I may ask for help along the way. May I do so on this thread so I don't have to start a new one? Not sure I will need help, but thought I would ask should the need arise.

Using a crappy joystick right now but a HOTAS and Rudder set are #'s 1 & 2 on the to get list so that should be coming soon. Can't wait to set up that stuff! If you guys have any suggestions on Brand/Model in that area, I'm all ears.

Finally, just a quick question...what is IVC and should I want it or do I need it?

Sounds like I'm finally getting close to going online with this BAD A$$ Sim! I really appreciate the chance to fly with the 420th and am looking forward to it.

Oh, BTW that sure is a pretty flower on your sig. Jay Bee!

short list: http://jheldreth.com/bms/list.jpg

you dont need a teamspeak account. just sign in and type a nickname.

we all have different DTC's, but we can help with questions. IVC is the voice comms program, and it's included with BMS. we'll help you set that up if needed. its pretty simple.

feel free to stop by anytime. look forward to seeing you in the air.

OK, I think I have teamspeak set up and hopefully have gotten my ports forwarded correctly. Now I just need to have someone show me how to get online and fly with you guys. Can somebody let me know when they would be available to help me in that area. I'll check back in a little bit.
