It was the most insane thing I have ever seen. We couldn't fly more than 20 miles from home plate without running into 3-4 squadrons of Mig-29's, Su-27,30's or a combination of these and their Chinese variants. Mud missions couldn't be deployed because we couldn't reach any targets without getting in a dogfight, and if you didn't go cat1, you didn't go home. Needless to say, we lost an embarrassing amount of air frames.

Of course our airfields took a beating as well. It was like the air defenses were shut down around our bases. I think we spent as much time trying to figure out where we could launch a 3 ship, as we did actual flying. lol

It was kinda humbling to say the least.
